e-SURETY - Web-Based Automation for the Surety Industry is the flagship product of Focus!…on Innovation, Inc. Located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, near Jacksonville, the company is dedicated solely to the development and support of Web-based automation software applications for the surety bond industry.

Management Team

Daniel T. Buckles, Founder, President, and Chief Innovator: Mr. Buckles founded Focus!…on Innovation, Inc. in 1998 as an Internet architecture development and consulting company. The company produced Internet-based solutions for a number of companies across a broad range of industries. The e-SURETY - Web-Based Automation for the Surety Industry application was publicly demonstrated for the first time in May 2000. Originally designed as an agency application, Mr. Buckles discerned that the greater market need was for a feature-rich underwriting and policy automation system targeted for use by surety companies and large independent surety wholesalers. With increasing sales of the product and marketplace interest resulting from this redesign, it was decided to dedicate all of the company resources on the e-SURETY - Web-Based Automation for the Surety Industry application in October 2001.

Prior to the founding of Focus!, Mr. Buckles successfully built and took public a high-technology company in 1997. Mr. Buckles was one of the co-founders and a principal of the Industrial Division of FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:FARO) from 1993 through 1998.

Prior to joining FARO Mr. Buckles served in several executive positions with Martin Marietta (now Lockheed-Martin) from 1987 to 1993. During his tenure Mr. Buckles is credited with developing a break-through methodology for using a device manufactured by FARO coupled with software developed by Mr. Buckles for the mechanical digitization of physical products manufactured by Lockheed Martin. The digitized data was “overlaid” on a Computer Aided Design (CAD) model of a product. This produced a visual comparison of the “as built” product to the “as designed” model. These technologies were the foundation for the subsequent formation of the Industrial Division of FARO Technologies.

Prior to joining Martin Marietta Mr. Buckles was employed by Raytheon Company from 1976-1987.

Mr. Buckles holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth (formerly Southeastern Massachusetts University) in Economics as well as an MBA.
